We’re proud to announce that we’ve been operating for 40 years. That’s a lot of business experience for one company! Michael Lamando started his business in 1983, just 5 days after he graduated from Florida State University. Amici’s original customers may remember having a beer while waiting in line to pick up their party planners or deli favorites. As his customer base grew so did their food orders. It was then that Michael started looking for the best in the industry to join his team.
We started as a small deli with just 2 employees and have since grown into a full-service off-premise catering company with over 100 employees.
Our current office and kitchen are located in Oldsmar. We have a fantastic office team, chefs, and kitchen staff, as well as about 100 part-time catering staff professionals; bartenders, event captains, and servers.
We’re celebrating 40 years of serving our customers—the best way we know how: with great food, new technology, and a never-ending passion for catering. We’re always looking for new ways to serve our customers to improve our services, over the years we’ve run into just about any situation you can think of. A few years ago we purchased a GENERAC generator to make sure we can operate during hurricane season. In Florida, you don’t need an actual hurricane to come through but enough wind and rain will take the electricity out and we love to be prepared. This year we purchased a Rational iCombi Pro which is an oven on steroids. We can accommodate large social gatherings, corporate events, and weddings.
